Northern Spirit K9 Rescue
began feeding hungry dogs at a local First Nations community where animal welfare was not a priority.
With the help of food donations many owned and stray dogs on the First Nations communities have been fed.
Due to the dedication of our volunteers the dogs have been fed on a weekly basis and after a few short
weeks they appear to be healthier. Most of the dogs are not altered
contributing to the dog over-population problem on First Nations communities. Our hope is that with
your generous donations we can help control the over-population problem by starting a spay and neuter program for the community.
Over the past two years there have been over 320 dogs rescued from the community, which were placed in foster homes, and later found their furever homes.
We have assisted community members who needed medical care for their animals and as no funding was available to
us we donated the funds to help the animals in need. See our gallery page for more information....

Did you know that in a span of seven years ONE female dog and her off-spring can produce 67,000 puppies!?
Did you know that it's a sad fact of life that when economic times turn tough, demand for animal placement/adoption services increase. However, contributions tend to decrease in number and size just when we need help the most!
Saving one dog's life
won't change the world, but the world has surely changed for that one dog.
