Northern Spirit K9 Rescue
is dedicated to reducing the number of homeless and abandoned animals on Northern Alberta.. First Nations Reserves, and believe that a suitable home can be found for all the young or old homeless and unwanted animals. As a non-profit society we are committed to taking care of the homeless and abandoned animals on the Northern Alberta First Nations Reserves.

Northern Spirit K9 Rescue
Provides veterinary care and foster homes for animals in need until a permanent furever home is found. Many of the animals rescued have never experienced a warm shelter, food, exercise, or any tender care, and our private foster homes are committed to giving the best care possible to our rescues.

Northern Spirit K9 Rescue also works with the First Nations peoples and their elders to promote responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, and other means of controlling the pet population on the reserves.

Northern Spirit K9 Rescue does not receive funding; therefore, we rely solely on donations, and sponsorships.

We have no paid staff and use private homes for fostering, we can only take in as many animals as our resources will allow.

Tell People About Us!

You can tell them on a train, you can tell them on a plane. You can tell them in the park, you can tell them in the dark. You can tell them on a boat, you can tell them with a goat. You can tell them here or there ? you can tell them everywhere! The more people can get our name out there the more animals we can find homes for. The more homes we find for our rescued animals, the more foster homes we can open up? And the more foster homes we can open up, the more animals we can save? It's an on-going cycle and the way we can make this happen is by simply getting our name out there, and letting people know we exist. With just a few more people helping spread the word about Northern Spirit K9 Rescue, we can do something truly amazing?
