In April 2009 Northern Spirit K9 Rescue came out to where we were born,
to feed the dogs including my mom Church. My mom had a litter of 8 puppies
under an abandoned house on a First Nations reserve. All of my brothers and
sisters came out from under the house except for me...it took the volunteers
several hours to get me out...a puppy has to get his sleep you know.
All of us puppies were taken to a foster home where we stayed for several days.
When no other foster homes could be found to take some of us, it's really hard
to care for 8 puppies, we were all taken to the Edmonton Humane Society
and placed for adoption. But not me, I was adopted, and found my furever home.
My mom had a litter of puppies in the fall of 2008 and all of them died
except for one, and he was placed in a foster home through SCARS Rescue
and found his furever home. Picture of my mom...
Northern Spirit K9 Rescue is trying to get someone out there to sponsor my
mom Church so she can get spayed, that way there will be one less female
dog on the reserve having unwanted puppies. The people where my mom
stays cannot afford the monies to get her spayed...so if you can help
out by donating to Northern Spirit K9 Rescue please contact them, every little
bit helps.
