Due to the lack of Foster Homes, it is sometimes necessary to shelter a rescued dog in a kennel. However, for us, this is an expensive option and not one we can always manage. We hate having to turn away dogs, and do our best to take as many as we can, but with our limited funds, sometimes it's just not feasible. Please help us save a dog by giving it a week of shelter at the cost of $75.00

Just $45.00 feeds a foster dog for the month. The majority of these dogs come to us severely underweight, some to the point of emaciation. We can usually count their ribs and, sometimes, the vertebrae along their spines! Help us feed these starving creatures

Sponsor a Homeless Pet

Sponsorship is a wonderful way to participate in the rescue of homeless, injured or abused animals, even if you cannot take one into your home.

Animals with special medical needs can be the most rewarding sponsorships. All medical information and decisions are shared with the sponsor, who donates as much as they wish or are able towards the medical bills. More than one person can share sponsorship of these special needs animals. Some of the pets that Northern Spirit K9 Rescue Service rescues suffer from injuries or chronic illnesses, while others have been badly abused and neglected. As a result, they need specialized medical treatment, behavioral training and extra love and nurturing before they can find their own permanent homes. These pets would likely be considered lost causes and destroyed as a result.

We realize that sometimes it's just not possible to add a new pet to the family, either by adoption or our foster program but if you would still like to make a difference, sponsoring a reserve dog just might be what you are looking for. Knowing that your funds are going to the ongoing loving care of a certain dog to help with a spay/neuter, shots, surgery, or daily upkeep is especially rewarding and is very much appreciated. To sponsor a dog, just send in your donation, make note of which dog(s) you are interested in sponsoring, if there is anyone you'd like the sponsor in honor of, if you want your name to appear on our web site, or if you wish to remain anonymous. It's as simple as that! You will receive updates, pictures and information about your Special Buddy.
